Having read Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and its sequel, Through the Looking Glass, more than once, owning these decks feels apt. The Wonderland Tarot was a New York souvenir from my friend and co-reader, Tere, in 2018. While the eponymous oracle deck was a pandemic Shopee purchase in 2020.
Can’t believe it took me this long, for this month’s New Moon, I’m finally putting this twosome to the test.

Choose a pile.

PILE ONE
Honor Your Individuality

Great memories aside, something in the dynamic has maxed out its purpose. Whether or not you keep the connection (it’s possible, but not without changes), the joy in self-discovery now comes first. Remember: you’re worth far more than your affiliations.

PILE TWO
Stop giving to those who don’t

Attachment manifests in many forms, and people-pleasing is just one of them. No one wins in a set-up that requires you to yield all the time. Set those limits. This is a call to offer less, if you’ll even offer at all.

PILE THREE
Are you yourself around them?

If you need to tone yourself down just to be tolerated, why even bother? How much longer can you stand not being you?
SONG FOR REFLECTION: “This Is Me” by Keala Settle (from “The Greatest Showman“)

PILE FOUR
It’s your story to tell now

You fought hard to free yourself from a situation that once depleted you. Don’t worry if you don’t know what the next chapter will bring. What matters is that you’re the author now.
