Illuminate/Ruminate: Notes on a Current Connection

The recent New Moon in Libra was a call for us to evaluate what we bring into our relationships, including our relationships with ourselves – hence, my first attempt at the theme. This activity seeks to offer advice on an existing connection: whether platonic or romantic, familial or professional, casual or undefined.

Once again, you’ll be “hearing” from Linestrider Tarot, together with The Empathic Oracle and The Path of Light Oracle. This is also the first time I’m throwing in the Tea Leaf Oracle, which I’ve yet to actively use in a session.

PILE ONE – Healthy spacing

You’re fated for each other, but you’re not attached to the hip. It’s not conflict per se. It’s just that there’s a fine line between honoring a strong connection and totally disappearing into it and, right now, you’ve absorbed too much. There’s a difference between creating distance and making space. Right now, you need the space. Use this time to fortify yourself and give yourself room to breathe. Honoring your needs is not abandonment.

PILE TWO – Undefined renewal

Either you crossed paths again or one of you reached out. Don’t rush to determine what this means or where it could lead. It’s not meant to be defined yet. Instead, make the most out of this new season, even if the conditions are still murky. Rest assured, it’s meant to endure.

PILE THREE – Odd, potent pairing

Borrowing from the concept of yin and yang: there’s healthy give-and-take in your relatively new dynamic, even if one seems more mature than the other. Doesn’t matter. Those roles even interchange, depending on the circumstance. And one always learns from the other. It’s a reminder that similarity doesn’t always translate to compatibility. You may not be alike in many aspects, but the potential to build and collaborate is real.
