Illuminate/Ruminate: Your New Moon in Gemini Message

It’s not that it I never outgrew bedtime stories. In the first place, there’s that argument that they were never truly for kids. Case in point: Read Brothers Grimm.

So, that’s why acquiring Yoshi Yoshitani’s Tarot of the Divine in 2021 was a no-brainer. The comic book artist took inspiration from 78 folk tales and legends in her re-telling the tarot journey. For a practitioner like me, knowing those stories gave my interpretations a whole new layer. Now, with its sister deck, Oracle of the Divine, finally making it to local shelves, expect the pseudo-storytelling sessions to have more depth.

For this activity, choose a pile headlined by a card from the Oracle of the Divine. The drawn message will be your guidance for June 2026’s New Moon

PILE 1 – Pick up the pieces

A one-sided arrangement has depleted you for far too long. The two cards alluding to self-sacrifice emphasize as much. But with Congo’s feisty rebel Mwindo (Page of Wands), continuing the message, you’re reminded of your agency and free will. This is your cue to once and for all, stand up for yourself and make the bold, brave choice for your greater good.

With the Oracle of the Divine’s second of two Recovery cards completing the spread, you’re told to take the steps towards rebuilding your life, no matter what that entails. Suffering may be inevitable, but staying there isn’t mandatory.

PILE 2 – Embrace unlikely connections

The Norwegian imp Tatterhood makes her second appearance in this activity, this time followed by the odd pair Enkidu and Gilgamesh from Iraqi mythology. This is a reminder that, sometimes, if not oftentimes, the unlikeliest souls become our strongest core.

So, never be quick to dismiss anyone seemingly out of your league, radar, or comfort zone. Sometimes, those people turn out to be great friends, excellent mentors, trusted allies. Or, at the extreme, even soulmates.

That Ace of Pentacles indicates major breakthrough. Think of Jack, initially maligned by this mother for those magic beans, but look what happened when he climbed that beanstalk. Imagine the great lengths you can reach or achieve when you join forces.

The Divine Fruit, symbolizing abundance, only affirms the potential rewards.

PILE 3 – Break away

This one echoes Pile 1 in the sense that it begins with two numerically identical cards except, in this case, this speaks of completion. The first card speaks of burdens (10 of Wands), while the second indicates the end of suffering (10 of Swords). It’s time to uproot yourself from a situation that weighs you down and remember that there’s a bigger, brighter, and more promising world beyond (The Star).

Completing the spread is The Forbidden, which may seem like a warning. But on the contrary, it means that the very step you’re withheld from taking is really the one that leads to your expansion. You’re more powerful than you’ve been led to believe.

PILE 4 – Don’t overanalyze your joy

Two cards that encapsulate happiness and beauty are followed by the Moon, represented in Tarot of the Divine by Princess Kaguya. This reminds you that the joy you’re feeling right now doesn’t need to make sense yet. So, try not to overanalyze its meaning, more so question your worthiness. Instead, bask yourself in its mystery and reflect why it enriches you. Allow yourself to feel blessed and let that state give you a sense of which direction to take.

It’s not yet a time to be strategic. It’s a time to be Receptive
